The Fleet Science Center and IDW Publishing will team up again, and present the second talk in their conversation series, Crossover: Where Comics and Science Meet. The topic of conversation will be, "The Universe and Alien Life".
The IDW comics that will be discussed are "Saucer State", and the "X-Files" comics. The scientists on the panel are: Dr. Shelly Wright, Assistant Professor of Physics, and Dr. Nicholas Galetzki, Postdoctoral Scholar, from CASS (Center for Astrophysics and Space Sciences) at UCSD.
The talk will be on Friday, May 26th, starting at 6:30p.m. at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery, 2765 Truxtun Road, Barracks 3, Liberty Station, San Diego, CA 92106.
Cost: $15 per event. Tickets include two beers from a local brewery and one comic book from IDW. NOTE: 21+ ONLY! IDs will be checked at the door.
The beer for this event will be provided by Intergalactic Brewing. The San Diego brewery had four of it's beers win gold medals at the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition last month.
