The San Diego Book Awards Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, and recognizing, local published and unpublished authors. They hold an annual competition, which culminates in an awards ceremony, wherein the winners are announced.
A minimum of three judges are selected to read every book submitted in each category. The judges evaluations of the submissions are averaged between them. The overall score is combined, and the judge's choice of genre winner helps determine the order of the finalists, and the SDBA winner. The list of finalists for the 2017 book awards has been updated a few times over these past couple of weeks, as judges picks were submitted for review to the SDBA Association. Here are the latest finalists nominated:
Published General Romance
Autumn Breeze by Robert Richard
Published Historical Romance
To Tame the Wind by Regan Walker
Published Memoir
A Foreign Affair by Amanda Matti
Congratulations to all of the nominated authors!
